One of the aspects of this deck I like is the sideboard, and how well it is able to transform the deck to a more controllish focus, so today I go over the sideboard in detail.
Last time I mentioned that I lost to Tsuyoshi Ikeda piloting this Blightning deck at Worlds, and today I review what happened in that match, and what we can take away from it.
One of the top Standard decks at Worlds was Tsuyoshi Ikeda's Blightning Deck, and today I begin reviewing this take on B/R Aggro. Incidentally, Tsuyoshi was my only loss in the Standard portion!
I continue my matchup analysis, this time focusing on the always tricky mirror matchup. There will be a fair amount of diversity, even among BW mirrors, but many lessons hold true regardless of some of the varying card selections.
Now that we have the maindeck and sideboard covered, I move into the metagame facing BW, and how BW fares against popular matchups. This video covers the Faeries matchup, which is the most important matchup for any deck in Standard.
The sideboard we played was quite close to ideal, which sadly isn't always the case. I still would change a few things, and today I go over my final selections for the sideboard.
BW is a fairly straightforward deck, and has a much better curve than most decks I end up playing. Today I talk about how most games naturally progress, and what game plan you ideally follow.
Both Gerry Thompson and I went 5-1 in the Standard portion of Worlds with BW Tokens, so today I begin going over the deck we used. I was very pleased with the deck, and think it will be a major player in the upcoming Standard.
