the amount of damage that you could have dealt to yourself is quite interesting but the Misty Rainforest doesnt serve as much of a purpose unless you were splashing blue why not just go with four more forests instead since your not even running islands in the deck
Good point. But the idea behind the Misty Rainforest is to have less land cards in your library during the game. After I use the Rainforest and shuffle my library I have a higher chance to draw a non-land card (It's like playing 2 lands out of my library). I don't need a lot mana for this deck to work and the lifeloss is generally moderate.
i just figured since poison isnt in most tournaments (from what ive seen at least) that dealing damage to yourself doesnt seem to help but i do undestand that idea maybe just drop the rainforests for more spells maybe like possibly Unnatural Predation
