We’ve just had a flurry of deck lists
released into our hot little hands in the last few weeks, and while most of
them feature strategies that will not survive the loss of Shards of Alara and
M10, we can certainly begin to derive some ideas about Extended and about the
face of the new Standard format.
Level 4 pro
player Lucas Florent brings you the Standard deck he piloted to a top 8 finish
at French Nationals. He outlines the different matchups, his sideboarding
strategies, card choices, and explains how to maximize the deck's potential.
True to my word, I have an audio recording
for this week, but that won’t be the centerpiece of this week’s article. In
addition to the audio, I have more match reports from MTGO, this time with R/G
Valakut. Tune in!
Today I'm
going to wrap up my Australian Nationals report by talking about the Standard
portion of the event. I'll talk about the deck I almost played, the deck I did
play, and what I liked and didn't like about each of those options. You'll also
get a quick round-by-round replay of the matches, and even a bonus list at the
end!
I’ve been working on RUG Titan Ramp for a
while and decided to share my updated list and some of my playing with you. And
as a bonus I build an M11 sealed deck and walk you through the matches.
