What Can I Spend Points On?
If you accumulate enough points you have various possibilities to spend them. The main use of points is for placing bids.
Bids
Lino Burgold and other top contributors will regularly create auctions and buy ins, where you can spend points to bid for special features and privileges. With more points, you can control these auctions, and get the benefits you want.
You simply place bids. Points are taken from your account when you place a bid. The highest bid wins. Non-winning bids get their points back.
To increase a bid you should edit an existing bid. Otherwise you may not have enough points.

With a buy in, there is a fixed price. Each time you place a bid, you pay just this fixed price, but the payment is permanent; you don’t get the points back. The winning bids are chosen by the feature writer.
