Bant with red splashed into it for 3 key cards.
This is on a budget in that I'm using the cards that I have
(60 cards)
Bloodbraid while good, seems to have a really bad cascade chance. It looks like half the time you'll be hitting mana accel creatures, which really isn't that great for 4 mana. Rhox War Monks are amazing dudes to be throwing down turn 2 or 3 with the acceleration, 3/4 lifelinkers are pretty hard to deal with usually.
I have to agree with avkidme. I'm a big fan of Bant and I've been workin on a similar deck lately and I've found cascade doesn't quite fit. Cascading into a Bolt can be ok, you always have a target, but hitting a Path or a Bant Charm when your opponent has no creatures or artifacts is just a waste of a really good spell. Even if there is a target for Path or the Charm, I prefer to cast my removal spells when I choose to, not when my deck decides to. Also, cascading into a Birds or Hierarch is not so great. By the time you have the mana to cast a Blood braid the mana makers aren't gonna help much considering everything but the Wurm and Baneslayer costs 4 or less. I would suggest cutting the Elfs for Quasali Pridemage, he's an excellent 2 drop. He has relevent utility and above average aggro capabilities on his own and Exalted will help your fatties later on. As for the Wurms, I would throw in some Finest Hours instead. Consider this, just Rafiq and a Finest hour is good for 24 damage. Just imagine what a Baneslayer can do with Finest Hour... 13 lifelink damage anyone? Add a Brave the Elements to the mix and your white dudes have protection from whichever color you choose 'til end of turn. Also, for some real fun times, Birds can swing for 3 with a Finest Hour on the table. Killing someone with a Birds is always fun for the whole family. I've added red to my Bant as well and Meglonoth has proven to be awsome, you may wanna give him a try. Trample+Double Strike= Good Times! Also Ajani Vengeant gave the deck a much needed boost in the control department. Hope that helps :)
try wild nactl instead of bloodbraid elf. if you want to keep bloodbraid elf, take out birds of paradise for harrow or rampant growth
how would that change anything. They would still be dead cascades.
I think with 4 colors Nacatl would not be living up to its full potential. I'd be willing to bet most games it wouldn't be a 3/3 before turn 5.
