As promised in my last article, today I'm going to take a look at M11 and how it changed the new Extended. We’re still at the very beginnings of the format, but some of the new strategies have definitely bigger ambitions than to just be a fossil that will be laughed at in a couple of years.

True to my word, I have an audio recording for this week, but that won’t be the centerpiece of this week’s article. In addition to the audio, I have more match reports from MTGO, this time with R/G Valakut. Tune in!

Every deck has its own history. While RDW has gone through a myriad of configurations over the years, it all began with Sligh. The same holds true with the Blue Control deck, all the way back to “The Deck”. Today, I want to trace my own personal history with the Mana Ramp archetype, and apply the lessons I learned with it to the current Standard environment, and showcase its role in the current metagame.
