Limited is one of the most fun and yet skill intensive parts of
Magic. The variability of the card pool allows it to never get stale, however
the strategy behind it forces a player to completely shift their mindset in
regards to the worth of a card. In today’s article, I’m going to talk about some
general ways to improve your Limited strategy, and also some specific types of
cards whose value in Limited differs greatly from that in Constructed.
Today, I’m going
to take a look at some of the more important cards from the new core set, and
propose some archetypes and decklists to use in the new standard environment.
This week, I talk about my experience at the chicago National Qualifier, where I did not perform as I had hoped, but I also look forward to the Chicago PTQ next weekend and investigate some deck choices for then. There's even a new comment contest as well! Tune in!
In this episode of the Super Sunday Show, I talk about which decks you should watch out for at the upcoming National Qualifiers. The comment contest also continues, with an interesting question about Bloodghast. Tune in!
With the RotE prerelease just recently over, where is Standard heading with the introduction of this new batch of cards? Tune in to hear which cards you should be picking up, as well as win lots of fun prizes just for sharing your thoughts!
This week, I go over more of the Standard and Extended decks. In
Standard, I talk about Zvi Mowshowitz's Mythic, Standard Dredge, an U/W
Control update, and I discuss Grixis Control for Extended. Take a listen!
In this episode of the Super Sunday Show, I go over the decks you should be playing in Standard and Extended. Chapin's U/W control deck is the perfect choice for Standard, because of its ability to react to your opponent's deck, and Petr Brozek's Boros for Extended, because of it's blistering speed and power. Take a listen!
On this episode of the Super Sunday Show, I talk abut the impact that certain Worldwake cards will have on the Extended format, as well as a few of my predictions for Standard with the new influx of cards. Make sure to check it out if you are PTQing for San Juan, to get the best information available.
